A Prayer For America
1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
1Ti 2:2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
1Ti 2:3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,
Father, I ask that you rule over the elections of Nov. 8, 2016. I pray that all cheating and voter fraud be stopped. I pray that all those who attempt to manipulate this election, in a dishonest or illegal way, be exposed.
I pray the American people be given a discerning and wise heart that they might clearly distinguish between good and evil, may they understand the difference between light and darkness. I pray you give the American people courage to stand for good and stand against evil.
I pray those of every political party who lie, cheat, and steal, be removed from office. I pray their finances dry up, I pray holes in their pockets, I pray their bank accounts be emptied and their resources given to those who will rule in a good and honest manner.
I pray men and women be raised up who will not compromise truth, honesty, or their office. I pray you raise up men and women who will not take bribes, or cover up lies. I pray you raise up men and women who see their public service as an honor and will conduct themselves in an honorable manner.
Only you can see the heart and spirit of every person. According to your wisdom and your will I ask that you put in office men and women of courage who have respect to your good ways. I also ask that you remove from public service every person who has no respect for truth or honor.
I pray you protect the United States of America from the rule of wickedness. Have mercy on America, forgive us our many, many sins and give us a good and right heart that we may honor your righteous ways.
